Ethics, Power, and Shadow: Relational Ethics Intensive July 2027

ETHC 652 – Ethics, Power, and Shadow Credits: 2 This course explores where ethical harm most often emerges: in the charged places where unexamined wounds, power, money, sexuality, caste, and dual relationships shape care. Drawing on bioethics, depth psychology, eco-philosophy, and contemplative traditions, students learn to recognize projection, navigate power differentials, and act from grounded inner authority. Through experiential, relational practice, students examine personal, somatic, and cultural dimensions of shadow, including equity, access, and cultural dynamics in entheogenic communities. The course also develops skills for relational repair and for understanding how power operates within practitioners and the broader field. Format: 4-day in-person intensive in the Oakland, CA, with one live virtual orientation session before and one integration session after.

Ethics and the Art of Aligned Relationships Spring 2027

ETHC 601 – Ethics and the Art of Aligned Relationships Credits: 3 This course integrates wisdom from multiple traditions—Western philosophical ethics, post-modern relational approaches, indigenous plant medicine protocols, and developmental psychology—to create a comprehensive understanding of aligned relationships across consciousness states. Rather than privileging any single ethical system, students learn to evaluate and navigate various frameworks, creating an authentic ethical compass that they can live and apply with integrity. Format: 15-week, 8-module online course with eight live synchronous class sessions and six small group discussion meetings.

Advanced Relational Ethics: Creating Your Ethical Compass Fall 2027

ETHC 602 – Advanced Relational Ethics: Creating Your Ethical Compass Credits: 3 This course is the capstone of the Relational Ethics Certificate — a graduate-level seminar for those ready to do more than understand ethics intellectually. Building on the philosophical survey of ETHC 601, this course dives into the phenomenological and non-dual dimensions of ethical life, drawing on integral systems theory, process philosophy, and eco-depth psychology to ask: what does it mean to live and practice ethics in a way that create a world that is life enhancing, amid a rapidly changing world and technologies with uncertain impacts. Format: 15-week, 8-module online course with eight live synchronous class sessions and six small group discussion meetings.
